Suddenly, shiplap was everywhere, your grandmother’s old hand-washing machine was now considered décor, and functional farm tools had become decorative hardware. But what happened to color in our homes? Sure, we might have gone overboard with the Pepto pink of the 1990s, and neon hues should stay off walls, but the gray-dominated trend has run its course.
